We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Saco, Maine. In this role, you will oversee critical financial tasks, including invoicing, payment processing, and customer account management. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and efficient handling of accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review customer invoices and credit memos for accuracy before posting them to the company system.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable records.
• Process daily customer payments and prepare remote bank deposits.
• Foster positive relationships with customers while addressing account inquiries and past-due balances.
• Identify and document reasons for nonpayment, communicating customer issues to management and sales teams effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and financial processes.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to support the accounts receivable function.• Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with specialized accounting systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
