Job Title: Drilling Fluids Plant Operator

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr (W2)
Description:
The Drilling Fluids Plant Operator is responsible for safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery (PSD) to customers. This role manages bulk plant facilities to prepare and deliver drilling fluids and bulk materials to wellsites, ensuring quality control and compliance with HSE policies, regulations, and company procedures. Operators may also assist in training new team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Blend and mix drilling fluids and bulk products for delivery according to job design.
Calculate and verify quantities of blends before loading.
Follow QA procedures to ensure accurate and proper loading.
Coordinate product movement with Logistics and PSD teams.
Perform shipping, receiving, labeling, and safe storage of additives.
Maintain plant equipment with daily checks and routine cleaning.
Participate in risk analysis, safety audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with yard maintenance and spill cleanup.
Complete daily paperwork and monthly inventory.
Interact with truck drivers for loading/unloading operations.
Experience & Skills:
Experience: Entry-level; no prior experience required (training provided).
Technical Skills: Ability to lift 50 lbs, wear a respirator, operate a forklift (training available), follow procedures, and handle chemicals safely.
Soft Skills: Reliability, teamwork, flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment:
Warehouse and mixing plant environment with chemical exposure.
Local candidates preferred due to on-call and weekend availability.
Training:
1-week NEST training in Kellyville.
On-the-job training: typically 1 2 weeks.
Shift/Hours:
Monday Friday, 8 12 hours/day.
Day shifts with on-call availability after hours, weekends, and holidays.
Flexibility required due to variable client demands.
Physical Demands:
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Wear respirator and PPE.
Safely handle chemicals and maintain compliance with HSE standards.
