Job Description

Job Summary:

The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization and ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the timelines set forth in the contract.

This will be a traveling PM position. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•Oversees a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.

•Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

•Leads a team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.

•Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly. 

•Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.

•Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.

•Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk.

•Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.

•Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors. 

•Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.

•Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

•Performs other related duties as assigned.

•Strong understanding and emphasis on Safe Work Practices and Quality Installations.

Education and Experience:

•Minimum

oHigh School Diploma or equivalent, and completion of two-year Business or Technical Degree.

•Preferred

oBachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Engineering, Construction Science, or Business, required.

oAt least three years of related experience in HVAC, Mechanical Piping, Plumbing, and Process Piping. 

oPMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications.

Physical Requirements: 

•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

•Meet fitness and strength test requirements.

•Be able to see well including close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment:

•Long hours are common, and some may have to work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines or solve unexpected problems. Due to the nature of this position individuals may experience considerable pressure in meeting technical goals with short deadlines.
