Job Description

Service Writer

We are seeking a dedicated Service Writer to manage inbound and outbound service calls to efficiently schedule maintenance. This role involves coordinating with service technicians to ensure timely maintenance and tracking all services throughout the entire process. Responsibilities include scheduling maintenance by managing inbound and outbound service calls, communicating with service technicians regarding maintenance needs and locations, documenting and tracking all services throughout their full length, managing multiple locations and schedules to ensure service efficiency, overseeing the maintenance team to ensure timely processing of orders and effective client communication, handling calls from clients to service technicians efficiently, and maintaining a basic understanding of shop flow and service scheduling.

Essential skills include experience in planning, service, and schedule planning, mechanical aptitude and maintenance in either shop or desk scheduling, and the ability to handle multiple locations and schedules. Additional skills and qualifications include knowledge of SAP and experience in industrial, automotive, dealership, fleet service, or fleet management software.

Work environment: This position involves a mix of shop and desk work, providing a dynamic work environment that requires effective multitasking and communication skills.

Job type and location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Tampa, Florida.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
