This 12-month culinary internship gives you the chance to train at an award-winning restaurant located in the heart of San Francisco, California . This is a high-calibre kitchen driven by seasonality, technique, and creativity—ideal for culinary students and recent graduates who want to grow in a fast-paced, chef-led environment. Start Dates: September/October/November 2025 Duration: 12 months Pay: $20.50/hour (40 hours per week) + tips (after 3 months) and overtime (1.5x pay for overtime) Housing: On-site dorm-style accommodation – $1100/month including utilities (housing directly above restaurant) Culinary Training Overview You’ll rotate through three progressive phases designed to strengthen your culinary foundation, build speed, and ultimately prepare you to run a station independently: Phase 2: Cooking Line & Service Station setup, communication with expeditor, execution under pressure Exposure to the restaurant’s fast-paced, constantly evolving service Full independence with ongoing chef mentorship Hands-on training is reinforced with 30-, 60-, and 90-day evaluations and ongoing feedback to ensure progress. J-1 Program Fees - This internship requires a J-1 Intern Visa and visa sponsorship and insurance.

  • 3,745 – 12 month visa sponsorship, DS paperwork, insurance, 24/7 support, and pre-arrival and placement coordination. Host interview and embassy workshops also included.

Recent Graduate: You have completed a Culinary Arts diploma or degree program within the last 12 months .
