Yakult USA - the world's leading probiotic drink manufacturer in Fountain Valley, is looking for 3rd shift Factory Production Supervisors! Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience in a Food or Beverage manufacturing environment with 3+ years of supervisory experience.

• Location: Fountain Valley, CA
• Direct Hire with Excellent Benefit Package: Medical / Dental / Vision / Life Insurance, 401K with matching, Paid Holiday & PTO
• Work Hours: 5 days/week, Monday – Saturday (Sunday and another day off during weekday), 3rd shift: 11:00pm - 8:00am
• Salary: $78K/yr (Exempt)

Requirements of the Factory Production Supervisor:

• 10+ years of experience in a Food or Beverage manufacturing environment with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Must have strong and effective leadership skills, and the ability to successfully manage a staff of 30+ employees including attendance, punctuality, and work hours.
• Knowledge of HACCP, SOPs, and GMP
• Experience in Blending, Filling, Packing, and Bottle Making Machines preferred.
• Experience in training, handling people, and resolving conflicts.
• Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
• Have the ability to work independently with little supervision and be part of a team as well.
• Be available to work any hours assigned, 5 days or more per week, Monday – Saturday, including early mornings and late nights.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities of the Factory Production Supervisor:

Oversees the general day-to-day factory production by providing leadership and guidance to all hourly factory employees, as well as reporting on issues to the factory production manager:

• Supervise 30+ employees to ensure security, safety, specs, quality assurance of products, sanitation, HACCP, and FDA regulations are followed.
• Schedule shifts for all line employees.
• Orient new employees and conduct training for department-related activities.
• Counsel and praise employees on corrections and positive contributions, and listen to and help to resolve complaints.
• Work closely with the Production Manager and Factory Manager, and act as a liaison between them and line employees.
• Follow daily production schedules and notify the Factory Manager and Production manager if shortages occur.
• Create and maintain a safe and positive work environment.
• Make daily production schedule based shipping schedule created by logistics.
• Control inventory for finished product in cooler, war & Sub materials in warehouse.
• Conduct monthly inventory for all materials in warehouse.
• Review Batch Ticket entry and close.
• Ensure compliance with all Production and Safety regulations.
• Maintain high sanitary standards as required by the food and beverage manufacturing industry, and be prepared for third-party audits and regulatory inspections at all times.
• Notify maintenance and follow up with work orders on necessary repairs or process improvements to the production line.
• Regularly inspect the production area and ensure equipment and personnel are working in a safe, efficient manner.
• Enforce all company rules, policies, and procedures, and provide disciplinary action when necessary.
• Immediately investigate all types of accidents, such as Workers Comp and property damage, and report to the Production Manager and Human Resources.
• Maintain a safe work environment by practicing company policies, standards, and food safety/OSHA guidelines.
• Perform Food Safety Duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
