Staff Designer – Project Management
A high-end, fast-paced residential and commercial interior design firm is seeking a talented and experienced Design Assistant to join our growing team. This is a dynamic role for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and highly motivated , with a strong passion for design and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in space planning, furniture layouts, and the creation of presentation materials
Prepare and edit floor plans using AutoCAD (proficiency required)
Source furnishings, finishes, textiles, lighting, and materials with creativity and precision
Request and organize samples, maintain materials libraries, and track vendor orders
Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, contractors, and architects
Support project documentation, purchasing, and administrative tasks
Maintain project files, schedules, and design boards
Assist with installations and on-site coordination as needed
Qualifications:
Proficiency in construction documents and AutoCAD is required
Familiarity with Studio Designer, Photoshop, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to thrive in a team-driven environment
Prior experience in an interior design studio or related design field preferred
